Roche: Art Retreat & Residency
in Flety, France
Connect.
Create.
Come home to yourself.
Next events: July 2026
An artistic haven to explore your creative expression, set in a rustic 1800s French farm.
The Art Residency Program at Roche is created for musicians, writers, actors, painters, and scholars seeking inspiration and support. The romance of the picturesque farmhouse, combined with the magic of the Morvan, provide the ideal setting to create undisturbed and bring your projects to life.
Roche is the realisation of a dream held for decades by Til & her late husband Olav. A place where artists can come and explore in total freedom.

Art as a Pathway to Yourself
Roche is not about achieving, perfection, or learning the best techniques. It’s about the messy, freeing process of creation as a tool for self-discovery.
With the support of our team, you finally have the space to let go, be imperfect, to experiment, and to simply be.
The invitation is to come home to yourself by exploring who you are through music, art, and expression. We provide the inspiration and the space—you bring your unique story.
Nature Escape: Leave the rush of city life behind and connect with the wild beauty of rural France. The retreat is held at a magnificent, rustic 1800s farm offering breathtaking views and tranquil space.
Be More You: Every moment here is a step toward discovering and embodying deeper authenticity. You have permission here to truly let go, make a mess and find peace.
Community: Connect to a global community of artists and explore potential collaborations. Surrounded by talent from all around the world, you can find friendship, inspiration and creative flow states.
Supportive Atmosphere: Our team are professionally trained facilitators and artists. We are here to support your growth and evolution as an artist and as a human being. We help you to feel safe enough to explore new creative edges
Be Nourished: Nourish your creative spirit and body with fresh, locally sourced meals prepared by our chef, who creates art in the kitchen.

The Team
Lito Mabjaia
Lito is a Dutch professional bass guitarist, photographer, and coach who helps you slow down, rest, and come home to yourself. Born from his own healing journey from severe burnout, his music is designed for self-intimacy and emotional connection.
Lifestyle, authenticity, and expression are central to his work, which emphasizes the restorative power of emotional intimacy. Lito is a graduate of the Amsterdam Conservatory (2015) and has toured internationally for the last 12 years.
Anita Meiruntu
Anita (aka ALPHAMAMA) is an Australian-Indonesian artist, healer, and truth-teller. Her music is a powerful transmission of love and freedom, drawing on soul, jazz, gospel, and hip-hop to explore themes of self-love, liberation, and spiritual awakening. With vulnerable and empowering lyrics, she is both a gifted performer and a highly experienced facilitator, initiating thousands into fierce vulnerability through workshops and retreats.
Til Groenendijk
Til bought this land in 2002 with her late husband Olav, with a dream to transform a rustic 1800s French farm in Flety into an idyllic space for artists. After Olav passed about a year ago, her nephew, Lito, stepped in and helped realize their dream of having residents making art on their land.
Professionally, Til is a respected educator in the Netherlands. She is a retired Senior Lecturer in Subject Didactics at Utrecht University of the Arts, where she also served as a teacher-researcher focusing on art education and creativity in secondary education.
